The slender figure of an dark brown Arabian Mare shown from afar and across the clearing. The blades of grass brushing gently across her hooves reminded her of the sweet, yet sour memories of her life in the desert. Images of her parents flashed in her mind, though she just pushed them away with the shake of her head, and the snort of her nostrils. Rearing upon her hind legs, she thrashed her front hooves at the air angryly, as if the rid herself of her hatred and revenge. Her eyes ablaze with fury.
Vex.
A slight inferno ignited in her chest as she galloped across the flourishing earth. Dirt and grass becoming airborne as she quickly made her way across the long valley. The preliminaries of a snarl snaked their way up from the chasm of her chest, forcing her to throw her head back in the thick presence of a loud and triumphent neigh.
Her luxerious mane flowed behind her as if a satin ribbon, her tail the same. Her hooves piercing the soft layering of the earth, she vigorously made her way towards the borders of the land on the other side of the seemingly endless clearing. Her sky blue optics noticing how close the territory borders seemed to be, however, she quickly knew otherwise.
Smiling, Vex immediatly lunged forwards. Driving herself forward, her nature told her to run faster, and faster, and faster. Though she felt her lungs pumping quicker than usual, they gasped desperately for more oxygen, it was her adrenaline that pushed her onwards. Ignoring her pain, she mercilessly dug her hooves into the ground. Ripping the grass and the plant life from their once firm foundations.
Her nostrils flaring, and her forehead and shoulders caked with sweat, Vex soon came to the borders of the land. Her mind buzzing with what seemed to be millions of ideas. Could it really be true? She pondered, as her gate quickly changed to a relaxed walk, her tail swatting her hindquarters to ward of pestering maggots. Such a flourishing land unclaimed? This is my chance.... Approaching one of the larger trees, she slowly placed her face onto the surface of the plant. It's unrully and untamed bark felt soft and welcoming for Vex.
Closing her eyes for moments, images of her mother's frantic eyes flashed across her vision. Snapping awake, Vex desperately backed away from the tree. Strongly blowing wind from her nostrils, she shook her head as if to erase the image. Leaving, Vex only watched the tree momentarily, before looking away, to the scenary set before her. It's calm outlook and green coloring brushed gently across her optics. "This land..." She slowly spoke, now that she had now regained her breath, "Is mine...."
