Two drumming hooves smashed at the ground with every movement, a fast steady pace gave off a rumbling sound. A bay figure sped off through the dusty, desert like terrain at a top, breakneck speed. To him, it was all slow motion...one step, the second step, third step, keep going, dont stop. His muscles rippled in the sunlight as his slim figure seemed to almost dissapear, blink once and he was gone. The dark bay hues on his coat relfected as a brilliant black and brown silky smooth look.
His thoughts were lost in his concentration, making sure that every step he took was a good one. It was all about the speed and stamina, and over course along distance course. Suberu was travelling through an unknown terra, seeming to be unclaimed, although he had no interest in being a leader. He knew that the Desert was the best place to practice his running, from the stories he had heard about it being a never ending desert.
At a split second he noticed a rabbit hop by and cut him off, his ears flung forward and his concentration was lost. Suberu gazed around for a moment, again, almost in slow motion as his footing was lost. His back hoof had nicked against the back of his front hoof causing him to trip. He tried to regain the footing but failed miserably as he tumbled to the dusty ground. His head flung upwards in a most emberrasing position.
A loud whinny escaped his muzzle as he hit the ground with a thud, noticing that darn rabbit in the corner of his eye scampering away. The hot sun beat down on him for a few minutes as he lay there, thinking about what had just happened. He blinked once or twice before lifting himself off the ground, starring everything angrily. "Stupid Rabbit!" Suberu shouted, pawing at the ground.
His once shiny coat was covered in a thick layer of dust, now shaking it off roughly. Letting a cloud of smoke arise into the air he coughed and spat onto the ground. A curious thought aroused his mind and he looked around the empty, dry terrain. 'Was it really unclaimed?' he thought to himself with great curiousity, maybe he could start a pack here. It certainly looked big enough, and the thought of being the leader and beholder of the exit from these great lands interested him. A laugh escaped his parted lips "This will be mine now".
